Day Three
If you haven't yet tried Squidoo go to Squidoo.com and join! Then click on create a lens (one of the keys to success with Squidoo is ensuring that your url is the keyword phrase you are targeting). Play around with what you see when you have the lens creator open in front of you.
1. Add an Introduction. Conveniently they have a module called Introduction already there for you.
Put a few words about the Lens and what you will be covering. Make sure you use your primary keywords (the name of your lens) in the Introduction and "bold" them. Add an appropriate picture so that your lens is already starting to look different than others and draws the reader in.
2. Add Some Content. This is done through the Text/Write Module. Content is vital if your lens is to be taken seriously and rated by visitors.
You can use some basic html in the Text/Write Module so you can have links in there if you wish. You can also "bold" your keyword phrase which again helps
3. Add some Interactivity. Web 2.0 sites are about interacting with your visitor and giving them the opportunity to make comments or take a poll. So add the Guestbook and the Poll Module.
4. Add some More Tags - When you first created your lens you will have defined a number of tags which include the url of your lens and up to three additional keywords or keywords phrases. You can add additional tags through editing the Tag Section in the right hand column of each lens.
You will notice that Squidoo prompts you with other keywords and keywords used by similar lenses which you can add to yours by clicking on them.
5. Add a couple of Plexo Lenses - The Links Plexo module is ideal for adding Affiliate Products. It allows you to add your links and gives the visitor the opportunity to vote on them.
Over the days following the creation of your lens you need to continue to modify it and develop it. We will take a look at some of the techniques in the next section.

Content is good! It's what your visitors want so be sure that you have good content on your lenses.
RSS is a way you can broadcast your content to a number of services and individuals easily.
Here is the easiest way to get your own RSS feed(s):
1. Go to Rapidfeeds.com and create a free account.
2. Go to "FeedManager", click "Create New Feed" and add a new feed (as the "Link" add your affiliate link).
3. Now click "+ Add Item" and add an item. Think about it like a blog post. You can post an article, or an advertisement, anything you want - it's your feed :)
4. Now Click "Publish" to publish your new RSS feed.
5. Save your RSS feed's URL to a text file for later reference.
6. Click "Ping", check all the ping services and click the "Ping Now!" button.
7. Now go to http://www.submitrssfeed.com/, create a free account and submit your new feed to the RSS directories or you can use Top200 Blog And RSS Feed Directory Submitter - It's not free but it's very good.

First, dont use your affiliate link. Use your own link for your own domain, and send the visitor to your website first.
You should also have them pass through a squeeze page first to collect their name and email address! You will find that this is a much more effective use of PPC in the long run. It may take just a little longer to make the sale, but if you are patient, you will earn more money than you would have otherwise.
'Keyword research' is the single most critical element of your marketing plan when it comes to PPCs. It's the foundation of your business! Everything else builds on it so DO NOT skip this step.
Getting the right prospects to your site is what you want, not just random traffic.
When selecting keywords, pick the ones that are most relevant to your product. Work on finding keywords that are: the least expensive, produce the most qualified clicks, and generate the best conversion rate/sales.
