It is about time that you succeeded!

My goal in this introductory chapter is to put you in the right mindset and teach you ONE key principle that will make all the difference as you venture into starting your own Affiliate Marketing business.Allow me to be clear there is a LOT of legitimate money to be made on the Internet. However, very few people succeed in realizing what needs to be done in order to make it.

Every day there is countless numbers of intelligent people, like yourself who come to the internet looking to make their dreams of financial freedom comes true.It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that there is a huge potential to make money on the Internet. But it does take much more than intelligence to succeed in this business.

You MUST have the proper mindset!

I am not going to go into any psychology of sales or speak of controlling the natural energy around you.
That is not what I mean.What I mean is that the way you approach this business will determine whether you will be successful or not.If you are like most people, then you are approaching this business in the wrong way.

What way would that be?

You are looking at this business as if it were some sorts of money-making opportunity.Now don't get me wrong - there is a lot of money to be made here. That is not what I am talking about.Remember I am talking about your mindset.

You have probably seen these headlines, or at least ones similar. They are calling to the opportunity seekers.An opportunity seeker is someone who is looking to make money online, but wants to do it with little or no work at all. They believe that there is some "magic formula" that will solve all of their problems and make them ton of cash quickly and easily with as little efforts as possible.

When they try out an "opportunity" that doesn't make them any money within the first week or month, they will abandon it and move on to the next one.After several failed attempts, they usually give up and claim that the Internet Marketing is some sorts of big scam, and then go back to their day job.In just a few months they will start all over again.

Now don't worry if this describes you. It is not completely your fault. When the Internet started it was a big opportunity for everyone to make some money online. It was quite easy to put up a website and start making money from it rather quickly.In fact millions of dollars were made from very poorly run websites.But like all things, as soon as there is a potential for money making from the internet, the internet was quickly became overcrowded with "opportunity seekers" looking to make a big buck with little or no effort.That simply will not work any longer.

I am NOT here to show you how to make some quick bucks. I am not even here to show you how to get rich with no work at all. I am here to show you how you can start your internet business that will continue to grow and expand over time until it thrives to the point where you will be able to do whatever you want. Most importantly, to live the life you have always wanted.

I am going to show you how you can start your internet business NOW!

An internet business that will...
* Not die after only 6 months.
* Continue to grow and expand for years to come.
* Give you the financial security that you need in order to do what you want to do when you want to do it.
* Give you the satisfaction that you have worked for what you have earned.
* Put you in the position to help others in need, which is the most fulfilling thing that you will ever do in your life.

So how do you make sure you are right in the business mindset? Well, first off I want you to understand certain things about starting an affiliate marketing business:

1. It requires TIME
While there are ways to leverage the resources of others, you must be able to put time into getting your business started.There is no magic amount of time that you need to spend, but I would say you need a minimum of 5 to 10 hours per week to get going.

2. It requires MONEY
If you just lost your job and have no money, and your mortgage is coming to due and you have bills that need to be paid, you are NOT in the position to get started with this business, yet.You need to invest some money into this business. Furthermore, it will take time before you make enough money each month to be able to survive.

My biggest suggestion is to have another source of income while you are starting out. I was working a part-time job in a call-center when I started out. Once my business was strong enough I was able to quit that job and devote full-time hours to my business.

3. It requires PATIENCE
Your Affiliate Marketing business will most likely not be an overnight success (with a few rare exceptions).
You will not become a millionaire in the first week, first month, or even in the first year. In fact, it will probably take a minimum of two to six months for you to get to the point where you are able to rely on your internet business for a stable income and then quite your day job. It will most likely take one to three years to build a very strong business that will last for years to come.

This all requires your PATIENCE. Success will come if you continue to work on it diligently and persistently. Success will surely NOT come if you give up after little or no effort. Most of the people failed because they give up too soon when success is just a few more steps ahead.

4. It requires PASSION
If you are not passionate about starting your own business online, then stop reading right now, close this e-book and get back to your day job.If you are the type of person who goes day to day without caring about nothing else than himself (or herself), then please kindly leave now.This business is not for the selfish or impassionate. You must be ready to help others. You must love the idea of working for yourself. You must be ready to put your heart into this business.

Your clients will sense your passion and trust you more. Your partners will enjoy working with you. Your business will grow naturally. Only then you will achieve success in this business.
